Where It All Began
One year ago, on September 5, 2025, Hivana opened its doors — not a physical store, but a digital one, built with care from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with a single belief: that every Indian woman deserves to wear real, handcrafted 925 sterling silver jewellery without paying a fortune for it.
The idea was simple. Walk into any market in Bhubaneswar, scroll through any online jewellery shop, and you would find two options — expensive branded gold jewellery, or cheap artificial pieces that turn green in two weeks. Real silver jewellery, thoughtfully designed and honestly priced, was harder to find than it should have been.
So we decided to make it ourselves.

What We Learned in Year One

The response to Hivana taught us something we suspected but did not fully understand until we lived it: for Indian women, silver is not just an accessory. It is identity, tradition, and self-expression all at once. The woman who buys a Hivana payal is not just buying an anklet — she is continuing a tradition that her grandmother and her grandmother's grandmother carried before her. That responsibility humbles us every day.
Price Should Never Mean Fake
One of the most common questions we received this year was some version of: 'Is this really real silver at this price?' The answer was always yes — and explaining why became one of our most important jobs. We learned that there is enormous confusion in the Indian silver market, and that honest, clear communication about materials and quality is not just good ethics. It is essential for building trust.
Odisha Knows Silver
We are proud to be a Bhubaneswar brand, and this year confirmed what we always believed — Odisha has a deep, sophisticated relationship with silver jewellery.
